Discord
Discord explores our increasingly artificial
relationship with the world around us. Our interactions with animals and
nature bring up mixed feelings. The natural world sparks emotions,
memories, and creativity. It becomes part of where we live and our
cities. We alter it, often disregarding lasting effects. This project
delves into the intersections of nature and human life, revealing how
they intertwine and contemplates our role within this intricate
connection.
About
Justus Lemm
Bio
Justus Lemm is a Berlin-based photographer and recent graduate of the Ostkreuzschule of Photography. His work engages with anthropological and sociological topics, examining how humans relate to the world and to one another. He often integrates themes of alienation and disconnection. His graduation project, Lithics, is a speculative, research-based documentary that traces early human history through landscapes and materials, probing the origins of human behavior, our evolving relationship with the environment, and the fragility of existence.
Alongside his artistic practice, he also works as a freelance photographer, specializing in editorial, portrait, and documentary contexts.
